Yesterday would be something I would remember for my whole life. I was riding a semi-full bus (Thank God) and in the middle of SkyWay traffic, it stuttered, braked really hard, and suddenly everyone is struggling to get out the still closed bus. Then I saw very thick smoke. That's when I stood and panicked. So many scenarios were running inside my head. I don't know if it was genuine shock or a calm and rationale composure, but by the time everything came into order, I thank myself on not throwing myself against the window. The thick smoke was water vapor, and something containing boiling water exploded inside the bus. (I heard it is related to brakes). I don't know, but when I reached the front half of the bus, it was soaking wet, and the driver was slumped in his seat trying to breathe and obviously suffering 2nd, or maybe even 3rd degree burns. He was hit the most since the majority of the water was in his area. Some of the passengers were also soaked and a lady with a very light complexion was suffering from red areas across her skin, obviously victim to boiling water. Man, I don't even know if the driver is still alive, imagine being dumped with boiling water? He was soaking! What's actually worse is, a police officer trailing behind actually smashed into the bus (I think it was a Pajero or a Hilux).
I just want to thank God for not letting me sit in front.
I offer my prayers to the driver and to anyone else who was actually splashed with the boiling water.
